An approved kidney donor. A community united in prayer. And a reminder of what it means to show up for one another.

The Gift of More Time

More time can mean another dinner together, another family photograph, another chance to watch your children grow. Those ordinary moments are easy to take for granted until illness makes the future feel uncertain.

For Tremayne Lewis, a father of three who has been searching for a living kidney donor, the possibility of more time has become deeply personal. Cyndi Lou stepped forward and has been medically approved as his donor match. With surgery scheduled for the morning of Monday, November 2, 2026, their loved ones gathered the day before for prayer, dinner, and encouragement.

The November 1 gathering held space for both gratitude and uncertainty. There was meaningful news to celebrate, and an important morning still ahead. Family, friends, and community members came together to support Tremayne and Cyndi at that threshold.

Meet Tremayne Lewis

The family’s donor-awareness flyer introduces Tremayne as a father, son, brother, and friend. It also offers a glimpse of the things he enjoys: drawing, dancing, cutting hair, and traveling.

Those details belong in the story. They remind us that a person facing kidney failure has an identity beyond appointments and medical challenges. Tremayne’s hopes involve the people and experiences that give his days meaning, especially his children.

The flyer’s appeal centered on helping him continue making memories with them. That wish gives the search for a donor its human scale. Behind the request was a family hoping for more shared years, and a father with more living he wanted to do.

Two people share a warm, heartfelt hug indoors, one with locs facing away and the other smiling with short blonde hair.

When Hope Became a Match

Cyndi’s decision brought a new direction to that search. She stepped forward, surprised Tremayne with the news, and ultimately received medical approval as his living kidney donor match.

In a public Facebook announcement shared by Tremayne’s sister, Cierra Fowlkes, the family expressed excitement and repeated gratitude for Cyndi. Her message described the significance of a friend showing up when life becomes difficult. It was a family’s response to a generous decision with very personal meaning.

The approval is an important development in their journey. It is also distinct from completing surgery or knowing its outcome. As of November 1, Cyndi is an approved match and surgery is scheduled for the following morning. What comes afterward remains ahead.

A Community Comes Together

On Sunday, the people around Tremayne and Cyndi made their support visible. The prayer service and dinner offered a chance to be together before the scheduled surgery, to express encouragement, and to share a moment that deserved to be remembered.

Photographs from the gathering show greetings and embraces indoors. Outside, autumn color frames the group as people stand together, join hands, and bow their heads. Some images hold a smile; others preserve a quieter moment of prayer. Together, they record the different ways people can be present for one another.

The gathering brought the story beyond a donor-awareness appeal or a social media announcement. Here were the people connected to it, giving their time and attention to Tremayne and Cyndi. The shared meal made room for conversation and companionship alongside prayer.

The Morning Ahead

Surgery is scheduled for the morning of November 2, 2026. On the evening before it, the story is one of anticipation: an approved donor match, a family preparing, and a community offering support.

There is no surgical outcome to report in this account. No recovery timeline or medical prognosis is assumed. The significance of Sunday stands on its own: people gathered while the next chapter was still unwritten.

The Power of One Person

Cyndi’s decision shows how one person’s willingness to step forward can become part of another family’s future. It deserves recognition without turning a personal medical choice into an expectation placed on anyone else.

Around that decision was a wider circle of care. Family members shared Tremayne’s need, friends offered encouragement, and loved ones gathered to pray. Each contribution had its own place. Together, they helped Tremayne and Cyndi approach the scheduled surgery with people beside them.

A Moment Worth Remembering

The accompanying video preserves moments from the prayer gathering as they unfolded. Recorded on an iPhone 16 Pro Max, it offers a simple documentary record of the occasion, keeping the focus on the people and their shared support.

More Time, More Memories

For Tremayne and his children, the hope behind this journey remains close to home: more time together and more memories to make. For Cyndi, Sunday was a moment to receive the community’s encouragement as she prepared for the morning ahead.

The photographs preserve a day when those hopes were held together. They show people making time to gather, to offer a hand, and to stand beside two people facing an important next step.
